SOUTHERN CALIFORNIA PROBABILITY SYMPOSIUM
SECOND ANNOUNCEMENT
In Memory of Ted Harris
February 11, 2007
This year's Southern California Probability Symposium will be special in
two ways. First, it will be held Sunday February 11, 2007, at USC, in place
of its usual December date. Second, and more important, it will be held in
memory of Ted Harris, including a special lunch event from 12:00-1:30 p.m.
This year's organizers are Ken Alexander (alexandr@usc.edu), Richard Arratia
(rarratia@usc.edu), and Peter Baxendale (baxendal@usc.edu).

LOCATION:
Talks are in Grace Ford Salvatori (GFS), room 106, on the USC University Park
Campus. You can find a map of the USC campus at

GFS is just south of Cromwell Field. The USC University Club is number 3 on
the map.
DRIVING INSTRUCTIONS: The only open entrance gate to campus will be Gate 5
at Jefferson and McClintock on the north side of campus.
From the 110 (Harbor Freeway) North:
Take the Exposition Boulevard exit. Go straight through the 37th
Street light. Keep left. Go under the freeway bridge, across Flower
Street, and turn right on Figueroa Street. Turn left on Jefferson
Boulevard, then turn left at McClintock into the USC campus.
From the 110 (Harbor/Pasadena Freeway) South:
Take the Exposition Boulevard exit. Keep right. Go across Flower
Street and turn right on Figueroa Street. Turn left on Jefferson
Boulevard, then turn left at McClintock into the USC campus.
From the 10 (Santa Monica Freeway) East:
Take the Hoover Street exit. Turn right on Hoover Street.
Continue until Hoover Street ends at Jefferson Boulevard. Turn right on
Jefferson Boulevard, then turn left at McClintock into the USC campus.
From the 10 (Santa Monica Freeway) West:
Transition to the 110 (Harbor Freeway) South. Take the Exposition
Boulevard exit. Keep right. Go across Flower Street turn right on
Figueroa Street. Turn left on Jefferson Boulevard, then turn left at
McClintock into the USC campus.
PARKING INSTRUCTIONS: Tell the parking attendant that you have come for
the Southern California Probability Symposium and you should not have to
pay. Drive straight (south) and park in Parking Structure A. Grace Ford
Salvatori building (GFS) is on the block diagonally across (to northeast)
from the parking structure.
